About Faith in the City
We are a growing network of faith leaders from across the religious spectrum in Toronto who are concerned about the wellbeing of our neighbourhoods and our city.
Faith in the City seeks to encourage faith communities to engage with their neighbourhoods, to reach across their traditional faith boundaries and partner with other faith communities, non-profit organizations, and the City of Toronto, to build healthier neighbourhoods, and to be active in creating a better city for everyone.
We support the Prosperity Platform, a poverty reduction strategy committed to ensuring that everyone has access to good jobs, adequate incomes, stable housing, affordable transportation, nutritious food, and supportive services by 2035.

Territorial Land Acknowledgement
As we meet in this place,
we invite in ourselves the awareness
that for centuries others recognized
the power, beauty and wonder of this creation.
We invite in ourselves the awareness
that this place was long cherished and cared for
by our indigenous brothers and sisters
including the Mississauga of the New Credit, Anishnaabe, Huron, Wendat,
and Haudenosaunee First Nations.
We invite in ourselves the awareness
that we share with them a call to care for this earth,
a call to respect each other
and recognize each other as Gifts of Creation.
